Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Evenso is a habits, people and tasks app for Android. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: everything you enter stays on your device. We don't have servers, accounts, ads or analytics, and we never see your data.
Who we are
Evenso is made by an independent developer. Contact: hello@evenso.me.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter (your daily items and check-ins, tasks, goals, people, birthdays, gift ideas, notes and settings) is saved in a single file inside the app's private storage on your device. Other apps can't read it, and we can't either.
We do not collect, upload, sell or share any of it.
Backups you control
- Android backup. If backup is turned on in your device's settings, Android may include Evenso's data file in your device backup with your Google account, so it comes back on a new phone. This is handled by Google under your account and their privacy terms; we can't access it. You can turn it off in your device settings.
- Export and automatic backup. You can export a backup file, or choose a folder for automatic copies. These go only where you choose.
Contacts
If you choose to import people from your phone's contacts, Evenso asks for permission to read your contacts at that moment. It reads names, phone numbers and birthdays only to show them for you to pick, and keeps only the people you add. Nothing is sent anywhere. You can say no and add people by hand instead.
Messages and calls
When you tap to wish someone or call them, Evenso opens your messaging or phone app (for example WhatsApp or SMS) with the message ready. The sending happens in that app, under its own privacy terms. Evenso doesn't read your messages or call history.
Notifications and alarms
Evenso uses notifications for your check-in and review reminders, birthday heads-ups and optional sleep alarms. These are scheduled on your device.
Optional extras
- Home screen. If you choose to use Evenso as your home screen, it lists the apps installed on your device so you can open them. That list stays on your device.
- Widgets. If you add an Evenso widget to your home screen, it shows your rings, a few tasks and the week's dates there. It reads the same file on your device; anyone who can see your screen can see what the widget shows.
- Lock-screen glance. If you turn this on, Evenso asks for "Display over other apps" so it can show today's events when you wake your screen. It shows only your own information, on your device.
Feedback and crash reports
- If the app crashes, a short report (app version, Android version, device model and where the error happened, nothing you've entered) is saved on your device. It is only sent if you tap Send report, which opens your email app so you can see it first.
- Send feedback opens your email app with your message addressed to hello@evenso.me. Device info is included only if you leave that option on. We use emails only to reply and improve the app, and delete them on request.
Children
Evenso is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices
You can view, change or delete anything in the app at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your device (export a backup first if you want to keep it). To ask anything about your data, email hello@evenso.me.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
